COBRA KAYAKSTM INVITED TO SPONSOR MILITARY ADVENTURE RACE
Teams of Four Will Battle the Pacific in the Cobra Triple

Gardena, CA, September 2001 - Cobra Kayaks has been invited as the boat of choice for the the paddling discipline of the upcoming Show of Force All Military Adventure Race. The 48-hour event will take place September 20-23, 2001 in the Santa Monica Mountain Range and along the Pacific coastline. Forty teams of four men, women and/or coeds will compete to be the best military adventure racing force on the west coast. Disciplines include mountain biking, trekking/running, sea kayaking, swimming and land navigation. The race is open to all active duty military personnel.

Teams will be paddling in the Cobra Triple, the first ever triple sit-on-top that is big, sturdy and stable enough to accommodate up to eight hundred and fifty pounds, ample room for two or three adventure paddlers and all their gear. During the Show of Force Race, each team of four will be provided with two Cobra Triples. The two team members can either sit in the back and middle if conditions are rough or in the back and front if waters are smooth. "Participants will be pleasantly surprised to realize that they are in a boat faster than a tandem with enough capacity to take all their gear with them." stated Dan Mangus, Director of Sales and Marketing for Cobra Kayaks. A high-tech combination of design elements will help competitors shed waves and remain on a straight course as they battle the Pacific Ocean on the paddling legs of the event.

Cobra Kayaks and Cobra Paddles are owned and distributed by GLENWA, Inc. in Gardena, California. The company, founded in 1993, is privately owned. Cobra Kayaks manufactures, markets and distributes a full line of sit-on-top kayaks, paddles and accessories. Cobra Kayaks and Cobra Paddles are registered trademarks.
